Member announcement;
In relation to online teaching (Distance Learning), In order to assist Instructors our Insurers (Allianz) have agreed that they will provide/extend cover for Instructors whilst teaching via recorded classes / live stream classes whilst on this Countries Lockdown, but please note;
The students would be taking part in these classes from home at their own risk.
They have advised that all Clubs and Instructors update their risk assessments to reflect training from home, and take all measures to ensure that there is adequate, safe space for the training and activities that will be carried out.
Any member student taking part in the online classes should also carry out a risk assessment to ensure that there is adequate space for the activities being carried out.
Junior members should be supervised by an over 18yrs family member.
Advice Only
IMASA would recommend for your safety that you record the sessions, advise that you confirm to the online viewers that you are recording their session and that their permission is granted, the reason would be such as; if a claim was made for Online Abuse and or Negligence, you would require proof for your defence, just to name a couple of the down falls we can see from online training.
Best wishes, Paul - Stay Safe.
